Our story is as much about our members as it is about us.
Katie Harrington, AuD, joins the Continued community from Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She is the chief audiologist and owner of Chelmsford Hearing Group and Director of Audiology for Massachusetts Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates.

What do you like most about what you do?
I work with an amazing team who loves audiology and hearing. We all are driven and motivated to help people hear, and we love working with one another to better the lives of our patients. I love helping people reconnect with their loved ones through hearing aids.
What makes you so passionate about the field of audiology?
Helping people hear is a great thing to do. When you see someone who is withdrawn, then you put hearing aids on them and all of a sudden they have things to say—it is the most incredible feeling in the world.
What value does online learning hold for you?
It’s convenient and current! I can keep up with what is new in audiology at my own pace.
What impact has Continued had on your ability to advance your training or apply new skills to your area of practice?
When we look at new product lines, we often will take AudiologyOnline courses to see if the product would be a good fit with our clinic. For instance, taking an AudiologyOnline course in Bone Anchored Hearing Systems (BAHS) is what led us to start doing this in our practice.
