Continued named a ‘Best Workplace for Women’ by Fortune Media and Great Place to Work

Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine have selected Continued as one of the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women™

This is Continued’s second time to be named to this prestigious list, coming in at 12 out of 50 small and medium-sized companies featured.

“At Continued, we place the highest priority on maintaining an inclusive workplace, where everyone feels empowered and supported,” said CEO Stacy Williams. “I am proud to work alongside so many exceptional women at all levels of our organization.”

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of nearly 600,000 women who work for Great Place To Work-Certified companies eligible for the list. To be considered, a company must employ 50+ women, must have at least one female executive, and must have at least 20% of its management roles filled by women.

The Continued team is 73% women, and women make up 74% of managers and 64% of the executive leadership team.

“We know that an inclusive workforce helps ensure a diversity of viewpoints and work styles,” said Asher Primrose, HR Director and For All Leader recipient. “It makes me proud to hear women in our company consistently say they feel included in decisions and supported both professionally and personally.”

As a 100% virtual organization since its inception, Continued emphasizes workplace culture as a fundamental building block of the company and attributes the organization’s success to this philosophy.

Continued provides a multitude of team member benefits, including a robust wellness program with an annual stipend, health coaching, a company-provided fitness tracker, and more; diversity initiatives; flexible holidays and paid time off programs; an amended summer hours schedule; team member recognition programs; educational, financial, and legal service benefits; a company book club; charitable gift matching; pet insurance; and more.

“The things that create a great workplace for women are the same basic needs that every employee has,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “The best workplaces have closed the experience gap, providing access and opportunity to all regardless of an employee’s gender or background.”

The Best Workplaces for Women list is highly competitive. Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for women regardless of job role, race, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifier.

Great Place To Work analyzed the gender balance of each workplace compared with industry data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Companies were also assessed on how representation changes as women rise from front-line positions to the board of directors.

“Fortune congratulates the companies that made the cut for the Best Workplaces for Women,” says Fortune editor in chief Alyson Shontell. “Based on survey responses of so many women nationwide, these companies clearly demonstrate they have created workplaces where many feel valued, supported, and encouraged to do their best work.”

Continued has been a Great Place to Work-certified workplace since 2018. In addition to twice being named a Best Workplace for Women, Continued is a five-time recipient of the Best Medium Workplace designation and has been named a Best Workplace for Millennials three times.
