Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have named Continued one of the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces. Continued, a leading provider of online continuing education, took the 24th spot out of 50 featured companies on the list of small businesses.
The ranking considered more than 112,000 employee surveys from small and medium-sized companies. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and passion of our entire team and the culture we have built together,” said Continued CEO Tony Perlak. “It is a tremendous honor for our company to receive this designation, which affirms what we at Continued already know—our team has a shared commitment to collaboration, creative thinking, and lifelong learning that makes our culture truly unique.”

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces stand out for excelling in the industry’s rapidly-changing marketplace. In addition to being innovators in the field of e-learning, Continued has been a 100% virtual workplace from its inception. This virtual model has allowed Continued to build its team without geographic constraints and enables its nearly 100 team members work from home offices across the country.
“As a 100% virtual environment, Continued prides itself in being a progressive yet culture-centered workplace,” said Asher Primrose, Director of Human Resources at Continued. “Continued consistently prioritizes company culture in a variety of ways, including enriched communication channels to connect our virtual team and innovation initiatives that encourage team members at all levels of the organization to submit their ideas for product or culture enhancement.”
Additionally, Continued connects its employees through a company book club, virtual happy hour events, and an annual company-wide meeting held in a different city each year. Charitable gift matching, a wellness reimbursement benefit, and corporate Fitbit programs are a few other highlights that demonstrate the importance that is placed on company culture and employee wellbeing.

“When it comes to revenue growth and innovation, the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces continue to outperform their peers making these companies more competitive and helping them secure their position in the marketplace,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “What these companies do differently than their peers is that they offer a great workplace for all employees, regardless of role or personal traits”.
