State Approval Information for Tennessee
The following courses are accepted by the Tennessee Department of Health, Board of Respiratory Care. They accept courses approved by AARC, and these courses have been approved by AARC for Continuing Respiratory Care Education.
- A minimum of 5 hours must be obtained through live courses. With Continued, live webinars may be used to meet the traditional course requirement.
- At least 5 hours must pertain to the clinical practice of respiratory care.
- One hour must be completed in patient safety. Continued offers courses that may meet the patient safety requirement.
- One hour must be focused on professional or ethical standards required of respiratory therapists. Continued offers courses that may meet the professional or ethical standards requirement.
