The instructor was very bland in her presentation and her voice made it feel like nails on a chalkboard. More needed to be discussed about self-disclosure, as I felt it was severely lacking in this area (ie: therapist use of self in therapeutic self-disclosure).

Presenter was organized and presented the information in a succinct and relatable way. The only con was the way one of the correct answer was phrased. All of the answers were potential supports to ensure client privacy. Presenter emphasized all three supports (make sure no one is around, white noise machine, headphones), so it was unfair for the "correct" answer to be only be make sure no one is around and white noise machine. To make it fair for users, question should be edited or eliminated.

Instructor spent half the time reading audience comments and feedback. Said “100 %” hundred times. So annoying. Said things like competence is very important in having competence! I beg you! I have taken three courses so far and two of them have been awful. Please find more Competent instructors who know what they are talking about and know how to engage you instead of reading the material on the screen. So disappointed ☹️

I'm not sure how this course was rated intermediate--it was very basic. A few good points related to teletherapy toward the end when discussing issues around informed consent, attendance, lateness, etc. I was surprised the presenter was drinking from her thermos (and once even a soda bottle) throughout the presentation. It was distracting and seemed very casual and unprofessional when teaching a course.

I was very distracted by the instructor who was constantly drinking during her presentation. I suspect that she had a cold... it definitely made me make a mental note to curb my own consumption of beverages during sessions! She did have some good suggestions about maintaining eye contact and leaning forward. I would have appreciated more specific suggestions like this and less vague references to researching the different issues for ourselves...it's kind of why we took this course.

Challenges were clearly outlined for therapists. It is unfortunate that we were forced into on- line therapy with COVID and struggled through it without benefit of training and minimal discussions as to the challenges. Training was more on how to use the equipment than the ethical struggles and the impact on clients. Many sessions were on the phone, if that, as other equipment was not available to our low income clients.
