As a team member on several Federal projects, Dr. Schwartz worked in technical assistance, resource development, research, and monitoring. For thirty years Phil Boise has been dedicated to eliminating children's exposure to toxins; and to resource conservation in the school, park, child care, home, and agricultural environments through innovation, collaboration, and demonstration. Phil is the author of the Go Green Rating Scale for Early Childhood Settings and the Go Green Rating Scale Handbook (Redleaf Press). He was the director of the non-profit ‘GreenCare for Children’; wrote Increasing Organic Agriculture at the Local Level; the 40-hour Green Gardener Training Program Curriculum Guide; the 1994 EPA report Reducing Pesticides in Schools; and developed the Pesticide Hazard And Exposure Reduction Zone System, also called the PHAER (fair) Zone System. He currently works with school and park districts around California on pesticide reduction, and manages an organic orchard.

Dr. Massey-Stokes is Associate Professor and Associate Director of Undergraduate Academic Programs in the School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology at Texas Woman's University. She has approximately 30 years of experience teaching health at the university level and has actively engaged in scholarship related to health education and health promotion, including child and adolescent health. Dr. Massey-Stokes is also a Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Her passion is promoting health and wellness across the lifespan, and she particularly enjoys working with adult learners.

Sara Pullen

Dr. Pullen is an Associate Professor at Emory University School of Medicine, where she coordinates the service learning program and the pro bono physical therapy clinic. Dr. Pullen’s clinical practice and research focuses on the intersection of HIV, chronic pain and opioid use, especially in underserved areas. Dr. Pullen started the first physical therapy clinic within a freestanding, multi-service AIDS clinic in the southeastern U.S. where she holds weekly clinics and conducts clinical research. She has wide experience in the provision of health services to underserved communities both in the U.S. and internationally. She has published several peer-reviewed journals on the topic of HIV and physical therapy, and provided the HIV content of the two major study guides for the physical therapy national board licensure exam. In 2015, she received the IPT-HOPE Award from the World Congress of Physical Therapy for her work in the field of HIV and physiotherapy. In 2018, she received the Emory University School of Medicine’s prestigious Hidden Gem Award for her groundbreaking work with HIV and chronic pain in vulnerable communities.

Carol Westinghouse has worked with child care programs, K-12 schools, colleges/universities, and a range of other facilities to improve their indoor air quality over the past 20 years. She has specialized in assisting facilities that provide services to children in adopting green cleaning and integrated pest management programs.
She has served as an advisor and consultant for numerous projects relating to indoor air quality and green cleaning for the States of Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, New York, Rhode Island and the Universities of Connecticut, Washington, and California.
Ms. Westinghouse is the co-author of the Green Cleaning, Sanitizing and Disinfecting Toolkit for Early Care and Education, has adapted the publication into an online professional development course for Penn State's Better Kid Care, and written several articles and other publications relating to indoor air quality in children’s environments.

Dr. Charlotte Hendricks has promoted health education for young children, families, and teachers for over 30 years and pioneered curriculum development and evaluation for preschool health education. Nationally recognized as a leader in her field, her career has spanned public health, higher education, Head Start, and research. She often presents to early childhood programs and at state and national conferences, delivering high energy presentations to illustrate practical and cost-effective approaches to best practice, national standards, and issues facing today’s early childhood staff and families.
Charlotte served as Editor for Healthy CHILDCare magazine for 16 years and has published extensively, including HIP on Health®: Health Information for Caregivers and Families and Growing, Growing Strong: A Whole Health Curriculum for Young Children.
