Carrie Fruin is the former Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Reflection Sciences, a company focused specifically on Executive Function and its development in children from birth to grade 12. She is currently a science instructor in a top district in Minnesota and continues to present STEM instructional practices at conferences across the country. Carrie has developed close to 50 online courses for teachers including trauma, best practices for remote education, and instructional coaching and mentoring. She has her EdS is in Transformational Leadership with a focus on instructional technology. Her ultimate goal is to ensure the equitable education of all children through teaching, lecturing, and publishing.

Dr. Lauren Starnes is an expert in the field of early childhood education. Having dual doctorates in both child development and educational leadership, she currently works as the Vice President of Early Childhood Education Research and Development for Primrose School Franchising Company. Lauren has worked at every level of early childhood education. While she began her formal career teaching at the university level, she has prior experience teaching within preschools, consulting and serving as a support professional for children with autism, and serving as an embedded instructional coach for preschool teachers. She has worked as a school principal for multiple different schools and remains actively involved as a voice for early childhood education in various professional associations. When not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her two sons in sports.

Dr. Stephanie Goloway is a lifelong advocate for the power of imagination, play, and storytelling. She is a professor emeritus of early education and child development at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, she taught in childcare, elementary school, and special education settings. She has been the director of both a college lab preschool and an early intervention center and has worked as a children's librarian and professional storyteller. Stephanie holds an EdD in Early Childhood from Walden University, where she researched how fairytales, storytelling, and Vivian Paley's pedagogy could impact both resilience and emergent literacy in young children, especially those living with substance use disorders and other forms of trauma. She is the author of an upcoming Redleaf Press book about using fairytales to nurture children's resilience in the early childhood classroom.

With 50+ years of experience in the early care and education field, Dr. Duncan has extensive experience in publishing curricula and teacher resources, teaching young children, training early childhood professionals, teaching at the university level, designing professional development programs, and working with parents. Sandra taught kindergarten for 10 years, owned 11 early childhood programs, and is the founder and Executive Director of a school-age program serving 1700 students at 18 sites in 4 school systems. She is an adjunct faculty member and dissertation chair for 25+ doctorate students at the Fischler Graduate School of Education for Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Duncan is the designer of a preschool furniture collection called Sense of Place. The Sense of Place collection builds upon the belief in the importance of children’s environments, not only by celebrating the spirit of the place but by rejoicing in the wonder of childhood. She is the author of several books including Inspiring Spaces for Young Children, Rating Observation Scale for Inspiring Spaces (ROSIE), Rethinking the Classroom Landscape: Creating Environments that Connect Young Children, Families, and Communities, Bringing the Outside In: Ideas for Creating Nature-Based Classroom Experiences for Young Children, and Through a Child’s Eyes: How Classroom Design Inspires Learning & Wonder, as well as numerous articles on designing early childhood environments and connecting children with nature. Dr. Duncan is the co-author of a book called The Honeycomb Hypothesis: Nature Based Learning for Wee Ones, to be published in 2021. Most importantly, she is Grandma to Sierra Elizabeth--a vivacious and very precocious second grader!
