Kimberly Smith, RRT, RRT-NPS, ECMO Specialist, graduated from Salisbury University in 1994. She began her career at the University of Maryland Medical Center in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (NICU/PICU), and in 2001, she transitioned to Johns Hopkins Hospital Children's Center. Smith trained as an ECMO Specialist in 2003 and continues to enhance her professional skills through ongoing webinars and conferences.
Since 2010, she has served as an adjunct faculty member at Baltimore City Community College, teaching clinical respiratory practices. She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and serves on the board of the Maryland and DC Society of Respiratory Care as a Senior Delegate.
