Dorothy is a practicing respiratory therapist at the University of Ghana, the School of Biomedical & Allied Health Sciences, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. She is a preceptor and a principal research officer at the department of respiratory therapy. She supervises training students in the RT program at the University of Ghana.
Dorothy is a pioneer respiratory therapist trained in Ghana - West Africa, with a clinical observation from the Kansas University Medical Center. She received the first respiratory therapy International fellowship award from the AARC/ ARCF in 2022. She is the President of the Ghana Association for Respiratory Care (GARC). Dorothy seeks to enhance the respiratory care profession in Ghana and throughout Africa by organizing professional development workshops involving stakeholders and respiratory care advocacy.
