Implicit bias training is an important first step in understanding the complexities of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in healthcare. This course will discuss the current research on implicit biases and what interventions organizations can do to combat and dismantle implicit bias.
This course was created to meet the requirement for Implicit Bias Training for individuals licensed by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Bureau of Professional Licensing, though the information in it is relevant to all states.

Dr. Matthews has worked with diverse patient populations in various settings, ranging from child welfare to in-center hemodialysis.
